How do I monitor upload progress?
Use the Upload Progress screen to see what is uploading, waiting, failed, or complete.
Before you start
- Make sure you are signed in to NodeCam on the phone you are using.
- Open the correct recording session before changing settings or recording.
- If you are working with volunteers, confirm who is the session owner and who is contributing a camera angle.
Steps
- Open NodeCam after recording.
- Go to Upload Progress or the upload queue from the session/settings area.
- Review Currently Uploading for active transfers.
- Review Pending Uploads for videos waiting their turn.
- Review Waiting for Network for videos paused by WiFi or connection rules.
- Review Failed Uploads for items that need attention.
- Use Pause All if you need to stop transfers temporarily.
- Use Resume All or Retry All Failed when the network is ready.
What to expect
- Overall Progress gives a high-level sense of how much work remains.
- Different videos from the same service may be in different sections.
- Failed uploads can often be retried without starting from scratch.
Common gotchas
- If the phone is on cellular and WiFi Only Upload is on, uploads may wait.
- Long videos may appear slow because they upload in many chunks.
- Keep phones charged while large uploads complete.
If you still need help
Contact NodeCam support with your session name, device model, iOS version, and a screenshot of any warning or error message. Do not delete recordings until upload, export, or transfer has been verified.
